21 & 22 Weeks

Good morning friends!  I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day.  Eddie and I celebrated the day by going to have our taxes done.  Ha ha!  Followed by a nice dinner out with some strawberry shortcake for dinner.  It was delicious.  I'm a week behind in my posts, so I've combined the two together in one here.  Have a wonderful week!

How far along? 22 Weeks
21 Weeks

Total weight gain/loss: 18lbs gained.

Maternity clothes?  I'm set in the maternity clothing department for awhile.  Hopefully!  I hope all these pieces I've acquired last me to the end.

Stretch marks? Thankfully, still no.
Sleep: I have been sleeping wonderfully this week.

22 Weeks

Best moment this week: Planning out some nursery ideas.  It's been alot of fun coming up with ideas and picking out fabrics.  My very talented friend, and owner of Love, Madicakes has volunteered to sew up all kinds of bedding and decor for the nursery, so we spent the weekend brainstorming and fabric shopping.  It was a blast.  She is so talented and has already made a few pieces for the theme.  I'll share more on the theme in another post.  But in the meantime, head over to Love, Madicakes and check out all the great merchandise my friend can create for you.

The best moment in my 22nd week was a prenatal massage.  A gift from a very good friend gave me a gift certificate for Lotus Wellness Boutique in Annapolis.  It was a quaint little place with a very friendly staff.  The massage was absolutely wonderful and much needed.

I have some pretty awesome friends.  :)

Miss Anything?  A full nights sleep without having to get up to pee.

Movement: Yes, he's moving around alot in there.  I've been trying for Eddie to be able to feel his kicks, but as soon as Eddie's hand touches my belly, baby stops.  Ugh, so frustrating.  But kind of funny too!

Food cravings:  My cravings lately are fruit or fruit juices again.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Sometimes at night before I go to bed I've been feeling kind of light headed or dizzy.  I get winded easily and tired out quicker when working out.  I've started having lower back aches.  I've looked up a few yoga stretches to do that should help that I will have to start doing regularly.

Have you started to show yet:  I've had a few people ask me where the bump was recently....but I know they were just being nice.  At least I think I have surpassed that, "looking chubby" or questionable pregnancy thoughts from others.

At my prenatal massage the masseuse questioned my pregnancy.  She said I didn't even look pregnant.  Of course I told her she had made my day and I haven't even had the massage yet.  Needless to say, she got a good tip.

Gender: IT'S A BOY!!!!  Even though we're having a boy, alot of things that I'm finding I like are very gender neutral.  Which is great if we decide to have another baby one day.  But Eddie is eager to buy toys like trucks and GI Joe's.

Special things I'm focusing on: Eating right, working out, getting enough sleep, as usual.  Eating right has been easier, I've been slacking on the working out due to lower back discomfort and lack of energy.  But I still am pretty energized throughout the day.

Belly Button in or out?  Still in!

Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Generally happy, but I did have a few days this week of being very grumpy.  I'm sure it was a combination of hormones, the impending snow storm and changes in barometric pressure.

Same cycle in my 22nd week.  Happy, then a couple days of Miss grumpy pants returned.  It's not that anything has upset me either, I'm just easily irritated, and feel like crying for no reason at all.  Damn these hormones!

Looking forward to:  I'm starting to look forward to talking more about what we are going to call this baby...I would love to hear some suggestions.  :)
